Vision of Hope is committed to protecting the hopes and dreams of
our children. Your involvement truly can make a difference. Here
are several ways you can support Vision of Hope and help create permanent
change that will allow every child to live a life free from sexual
violence.
Report it.
- If you suspect child sexual abuse, call CHILDLINE, PA Child Abuse Hotline, at
1.800.932-0313 or the 24-hour HERO Hotline at 1.877.874.HERO (4376)
- for information, intervention options and supportive counseling.
The HERO Project is supported by Vision of Hope.
Speak out against child sexual abuse
- Call your community leaders, state representatives and members
of Congress. Ask them what they are doing to address this issue
and to make our communities safer.
- Educate your family and friends. Help them understand the importance
of reporting suspected abuse.
Write about it
- Send a letter to the editor to your local newspaper.
- Write legislators at the local, state and national levels.
Read about it
- Sadly, stories about abused children are in the news every day.
Educate yourself by reading local, state and national news articles
about this devastating problem. Read news stories about child sexual
abuse.
Share your time
- Become a “virtual volunteer.” Create a personal space
of your own on the Web to let others know about Vision of Hope.
- Organize fundraisers or rallies against child sexual abuse and
donate the proceeds to Vision of Hope.
